About Mona Rosene, ms rd
After competing in bodybuilding, Mona knew her career would be focused in the fitness and nutrition industry. Educating about the health and physical changes that can be made with simple dietary modification quickly became her passion! Mona received her BS degree in Exercise Physiology, then pursued a Master’s degree in nutrition. She soon completed the requirements to be a registered dietitian.
Mona provides expert health and nutrition information with logical messages that are applicable to today’s busy lifestyles. Her “no-nonsense” approach has helped hundreds make the transition to a healthier lifestyle and reach their personal goals.
Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, sports nutrition, behavior and lifestyle modification, weight loss, diabetes education, and digestive problems. Mona has appeared on local news stations discussing nutrition topics ranging from trans fats to staying hydrated.
Locally, Mona is involved with state and regional dietetic associates as a member of the Public Relations committee, as well as treasurer. On a national level, Mona is active in the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN) and the Nutrition in Complementary Care subgroups of the American Dietetic Association.
Mona not only educates people about becoming healthy, she walks the walk by teaching spin classes, cycling, competing in triathlons, weight training, practicing yoga, and hiking with her dogs.
